Parliamentary State Secretary Jens Spahn was joined by German economist Clemens Fuest on Tuesday, 12 April 2016, to discuss the future of EU finances as part of our Finance Ministry in Dialogue series.

Clemens Fuest became president of the Ifo Institute, one of the leading economic institutes in Europe, at the beginning of April 2016. He is also a member of the Advisory Board to the Finance Ministry. The Board supports the policymaking process by producing reports and analyses on current issues.

As part of the Finance Ministry in Dialogue series of events, the German Finance Ministry invites internationally renowned figures to join us in a debate. In so doing, we are creating a forum for exchanging ideas between policymakers, academics and practitioners by examining the current fiscal policy challenges.
