Glob­al con­fer­ence in Berlin: work­ing to­geth­er to fight tax eva­sion

Germany hosted an international conference on the global exchange of tax information on 28 and 29 October 2014. At the conference, more than 50 states signed an agreement on the new global standard for the exchange of tax information.

Louis Gal­lois speaks at the Fed­er­al Min­istry of Fi­nance: Eu­rope’s role in glob­al com­pe­ti­tion – a French point of view

The special “Federal Finance Ministry in Dialogue” series on promoting competitiveness was launched on 13 May. Parliamentary State Secretary Steffen Kampeter welcomed Louis Gallois, the French General Commissioner for Public Investment, as a guest speaker. Mr Gallois was the CEO of EADS until the end of May 2012 and had previously served as President of SNCF, France’s national railway company.

25th An­niver­sary of the Fran­co-Ger­man Fi­nan­cial and Eco­nom­ic Coun­cil

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble, French Minister of the Economy and Finance Pierre Moscovici, Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann, Banque de France Governor Christian Noyer and Ernst Burgbacher, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, met in Berlin to commemorate 25 years of the Franco-German Financial and Economic Council. Minister Schäuble and Minister Moscovici issued a political declaration and held discussions with young people.
