Am 22. Juni 2018 kamen auf Einladung des Bundesfinanzministeriums hochkarätige Experten im Rahmen einer internationalen Konferenz zusammen, um die Herausforderungen des demografischen Wandels für die Tragfähigkeit der öffentlichen Finanzen und die sozialen Sicherungssystems zu erörtern. Im Zentrum dieser Veranstaltung stand der Ageing Report der EU, der von der EU Kommission vorgestellt und im Anschluss in seinen analytischen und wirtschaftspolitischen Dimensionen diskutiert wurde.
