G7 adopt fun­da­men­tal el­e­ments for ef­fec­tive
as­sess­ment of cy­ber risks

The G7 attach great importance to the issue of cybersecurity in the financial sector. The G7 Cyber Expert Group, a body in which Germany is represented by experts from the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Bundesbank and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority provided a report on the fundamental elements for the effective assessment of cybersecurity in the financial sector. The report was adopted by the finance ministers and central bank governors of the G7 on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C. on 12 October 2017.
