On 20 April 2022, the G7 finance ministers and central bank governors met for the second time under Germany’s G7 presidency. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the IMF spring meeting in Washington, D.C. During their talks, the G7 members focused on the state of the global economy in light of the war in Ukraine. Ukraine Financial support from the Federation
At the Conference of Minister-Presidents on 7 April 2022, the Federation and the Länder agreed to provide financial support to refugees from Ukraine as recognised asylum-seekers in need of assistance as of 1 June 2022. In addition, the Federation and the Länder will speed up and optimise the registration of those individuals who will remain in Germany.
