Guided tours
Our colleagues from the visitors’ service will take you on a journey through the turbulent history of the Detlev Rohwedder Building. The Finance Ministry has been based in the Detlev Rohwedder Building since 1999. The structure embodies the upheavals of recent German history like few other places in Berlin. Your visit will be rounded off with a presentation about the Finance Ministry’s responsibilities and current challenges.

Group tours
If you would like to visit the Finance Ministry as a larger group (e.g. a school group or a club), please contact us directly using either our contact form or by email at Besuch@bmf.bund.de. Please let us know what kind of group it is, why you want to visit the ministry, and any specific topics you are interested in. This will allow ministry staff to prepare for your visit and tailor the tour to your interests and requirements. Visits normally last around 90 minutes. Groups should consist of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 50 people. We will try to arrange a visit to the ministry for you if we can. However, we cannot guarantee that a visit will always be possible, due to the large number of enquiries we receive.
If a member of the German Bundestag has invited your group to visit the ministry, the office of the Bundestag member should register the group with the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government.
