    The existence of a sound financial system is vital for economic growth and stability. The Ministry is responsible for financial sector legislation.

    The Ministry plays a major role in European financial policy. It formulates and coordinates Germany’s positions on matters involving the budget and finances of the EU.

  • World

    The Ministry works internationally within international institutions and organisations such as the International Monetary Fund, development banks, the G7 and the G20.

  • Stamps

    The ministry issues all stamps bearing the inscription “Deutschland”. Stamps are far more than just a means of paying for postage – they are tiny works of art that represent Germany abroad.
