Financial markets First National Risk Assessment

Public Finances German Stability Programme 2023
On 26 April 2023, the federal cabinet adopted Germany’s Stability Programme for 2023. By resuming compliance with the regular borrowing limit set out in the debt brake and reducing the deficit and debt ratio as projected, the German government is returning to fiscal normality and strengthening the sustainability of public finances.
